Senior officers of the Joint Staff and a former member of
the Joint Staff will participate in a media availability
concerning Joint Vision 2010 at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8,
1996, at the Double Tree Hotel, 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington,
Va.
Joint Vision 2010 was developed at the direction of the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. John M.
Shalikashvili, to provide a template for a common direction as
the services develop capabilities for the 21st Century.
Lt. Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, assistant to the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Vice Adm. Arthur K.
Cebrowski, U.S. Navy, director, Space and Electronic Warfare, N-
6; Maj. Gen. David A. Sawyer, U.S. Air Force, director for
Operational Plans and Interoperability, J-7; and Brig. Gen.
Robert F. Dees, U.S. Army, vice director, J-7, are speaking at a
luncheon highlighting Joint Vision 2010, hosted by the American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. They will also
participate in the media availability.
The single-subject media availability will occur at
approximately 12:15 p.m., immediately upon conclusion of their
presentations, in the Arlington North & South room adjacent to
the Plaza Ballroom, mezzanine level, north tower of the hotel.
