CJCS Trip to Sinai and Italy
Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, U.S. Army, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will depart Andrews Air Force Base, Md., today for a Thanksgiving troop visit to the Sinai and Italy. On Thursday morning, Nov. 28, he will tour the North Camp, Multinational Force and Observers, in the Sinai and have Thanksgiving lunch with the troops. Gen. Shalikashvili will then fly to Naples, Italy, for a brief visit to the USS Enterprise. He will meet with sailors and participate in a Thanksgiving meal onboard ship. Gen. Shalikashvili is scheduled to return to Washington on Friday afternoon.
