The previously announced background briefing will now be on the record. The
briefing will be conducted by Gen. Barry R. McCaffrey, Commander in Chief, U.S.
Southern Command, on current issues in U.S. Southern Command, including
planning for the movement of Cuban migrants from Panama to Guantanamo Bay,
Cuba. The briefing will be held in the DoD briefing room today at 12:45 (EST).
