No. 085-P:03/21/95:Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, USA, chairma
Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, USA, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
departed Andrews Air Force Base, Md., on Tuesday morning, March 21, for a
one-day visit to Haiti. While in Haiti, the chairman will meet with senior
U.S. civilian and military leaders, receive briefings on the UNMIH transition,
and visit with U.S. military forces. He is also scheduled to meet with Haitian
President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
