The U.S.-Japan Security Sub-Committee will meet at the Airlie House Conference
Center in Warrenton, Virginia, on Wednesday, May 3, 1995.
Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, Joseph S.
Nye, and Assistant Secretary of State for Asia Pacific Affairs, Winston Lord,
will meet with their Japanese counterparts, Tokinoya Atsushi, Director General,
North American Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Akiyama
Masahiro, Director General Defense Policy Bureau, Japan Defense Agency, to
consult on key issues in the U.S.-Japan security relationship.
There will be a brief press availability for U.S. and Japanese media at 6 p.m.
at the Airlie House Conference Center in Warrenton. All principals will be in
attendance to respond to questions.
