No. 194-P:06/23/95:Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, USA, chairma
Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, USA, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will
depart Andrews Air Force Base, Md., on Saturday, June 24, 1995, for the United
Kingdom.
The chairman is being hosted by his British counterpart, Field Marshal Sir
Peter Inge. During the four-day visit, General Shalikashvili will meet with
host country officials to discuss issues of mutual concern. On June 28, at
8:45 a.m. (GMT) he will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,
Westminster Abbey. A press conference is scheduled in London at the American
Embassy on Wednesday, June 28, at 3:45 p.m. (GMT).
The chairman will return to Washington, D.C. on June 28.
