Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, departs Andrews Air Force Base, MD, for travel to Kansas, California, and Washington from October 17-21, 2003. He first travels to Manhattan, Kansas, for activities at Kansas State University. Myers then continues to California to address the World Affairs Council of Northern California in San Francisco.
Myers will visit Marines at Camp Pendleton, Calif. He will then travel to Fort Lewis Wash., to visit U.S. Army troops before returning to the Nation's Capital on Tues., Oct. 21, 2003.
