Processing for news media renewals and initial applications for Pentagon
building passes will be limited during the month of July due to renovations in
the Pentagon Pass Office. All news media, whether renewing or applying for an
initial building pass, must first make their applications in the Directorate
for Defense Information (DDI), Room 2-E765 where they will be given further
instructions for processing. The following July schedule applies.
For July 13-14, the Pentagon Pass Office will be closed. Applications can
only be processed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and news media may do the final
processing at either the Crystal City Office (Crystal Mall 3, Room C-19) or the
Navy Annex Office (Room G501).
All three pass offices will be closed July 17-18, with normal Pentagon Pass
Office hours resuming on July 19.
Normal Pentagon Pass Office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30
a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. On Tuesday and
Thursday, the office is only open from 8:30 a.m. to noon. All processing must
be completed the same day the applications are prepared in DDI.
It is advised that news media call DDI (703-695-3886) prior to coming to the
Pentagon to renew or apply for a Pentagon building pass.
