General John M. Shalikashvili, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will
visit Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada on Saturday, July 15, 1995. As part of the
visit he will participate in a media availability from 2:40 - 3 p.m. Point of

Saturday evening, General Shalikashvili will be honored by the American Council
for Polish Culture. He will receive the "Superior Career Achievement Award"
during the organization's 47th annual convention awards banquet. The ceremony
will be held at 8 p.m. at the Aladdin Hotel Casino in the Imperial Ballroom
