Secretary of Defense William Perry will participate in a ribbon-cuttingceremony for a new Pentagon facility designed to benefit employees withdisabilities.
The ceremony will take place on August 16, 1995 at 2:30 p.m. inroom 2A259 of the Pentagon, located across from the main cafeteria.
Secretary Perry will join Under Secretary for Personnel and Readiness EdwinDorn and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs Dr. Stephen Josephto launch CAPTEC, the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program TechnologyEvaluation Center.
CAPTEC will showcase a wide variety of adaptive equipmentfor use by DoD employees with disabilities.
Each work station will be equippedwith state of the art technology that ensures access for people withdisabilities in today's computer environment.
The ceremony is open to the media.
