No. 263-P:09/22/95:General John M. Shalikashvili, chairman
General John M. Shalikashvili, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will be a
featured speaker along with Elizabeth Dole, president, American Red Cross, at
an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II. The
celebration recognizes Red Cross service to the military during World War II
and honors the new generation of Red Cross volunteers. The ceremony will be
held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Governors Hall at American Red Cross
headquarters, 430 17th Street NW, Washington, D.C.
