General John M. Shalikashvili, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will
deliver the fifteenth Oscar Iden Lecture at the Institute for the Study of
Diplomacy, Georgetown University, on Wednesday, November 16, 1994, at 11 a.m.
The address, entitled "Force and Diplomacy in the 21st Century," will be held
in Gaston Hall.
The Institute for the Study of Diplomacy is part of the Edmund A. Walsh School
of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. The Institute focuses on the
implementation of foreign policy.
