DoD Official To Present Preserve America Designation To Two Communities
Philip Grone, deputy undersecretary of defense for installations and environment, will present the Preserve America designation to two communities in a ceremony at the Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, Ohio, at 8:30 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, May 22.
The communities receiving the designations are German Village and Piqua, Ohio. The ceremony is part of the Joint Services Environmental Management Conference which takes place in Columbus from May 21 to May 24, 2007.
The conference brings together Defense Department officials from all over the world to discuss installations and environmental issues.
