Department of Defense Disability Awards Ceremony and Forum
The Department of Defense will hold its annual Disability Awards Ceremony Dec. 4, at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda Hotel, Bethesda, Md., from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. EST. Sixteen defense employees with disabilities will be recognized for their outstanding performance, and three DoD components will be acknowledged for their outstanding affirmative-action programs for people with disabilities. A forum highlighting DoD initiatives on behalf of veterans with disabilities will follow the ceremony.
Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness David S. C. Chu will host the event. The keynote speaker will be Maj. Daniel M. Gade, associate director of the Domestic Policy Council at the White House.
