DoD Official to Brief on KC-X Tanker Draft RFP
Director of Defense Procurement and Acquisitions Policy Shay Assad will brief the news media at 3 p.m. EDT, Aug. 6, in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, to provide information on the draft request-for-proposal and source selection process for the KC-X aerial refueling tanker.
The draft RFP is to be submitted on Wednesday, Aug. 6 to Congress, and to the two companies that are competing for the KC-X tanker contract.
Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the Pentagon.
