Deputy Secretary of Defense To Host Preview of Sesame Street Special

Deputy Secretary of Defense William Lynn will host a preview of the PBS special, “Coming Home: Military Families Cope with Change” at 10:30 a.m. EDT, Mar. 18, in the Pentagon Auditorium, Room BH650.  The PBS special, which will air nationwide Apr. 1 at 8 p.m., tells the story of servicemembers returning home with injuries and explores the struggles their families face as they search for a ‘new normal.’  The program will include special appearances by Sesame Street’s Elmo and Rosita.

 

Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.  Secretary Lynn will not be taking questions from the media.
