The Defense Department offers a live briefing with Col. John Dobbins, the commander of the forward air base in Tallil, Iraq, on Thursday, April 17, at 8 a.m. EDT, in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon, Room 2E781. Col. Dobbins will discuss the role that the base has played, and continues to play, in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Tallil was the first forward air base from which the coalition forces were able to operate.
