Deputy Commanding General for Operations-Iraq to Brief Media
Lt. Gen. Frank G. Helmick, deputy commanding general, U.S. Forces-Iraq, will brief the media at 10 a.m. EST, Dec. 7, in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973) via satellite to provide an update on the redeployment operations of U.S. Forces in Iraq and the capability of the Iraqi Security Forces in preparation of the transfer of mission to the Department of State.
Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.
