Secretary of Defense and Japan Minister of Defense to Conduct Press Events at the Pentagon
Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta will welcome Japan’s Minister of Defense Satoshi Morimoto to the Pentagon with an honor cordon at the River Entrance at 2 p.m. EDT, Aug. 3. Following their bi-lateral meeting, they will conduct a press conference at 3:15 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Press Briefing Room (2E973).
Minister Morimoto will fly on an MV-22 aircraft at 4:30 p.m. EDT. Journalists are allowed to film the departure and arrival of the Osprey at the Pentagon.
Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the events; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.
