Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will hold a town hall with DoD personnel at the MARK Center tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. EDT in the MARK Center’s B1 Auditorium.
The MARK Center is a state of the art DoD facility developed as part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiative. Approximately 6,400 personnel from several DoD activities work at the MARK Center; Secretary Hagel will be the first secretary of defense to visit.
Coverage is open to pre-credentialed print and radio correspondents, as well as still photographers. Television coverage is available to the U.S. national pool only due to limited space.
All media must RSVP to Cmdr. Leslie Hull-Ryde at Leslie.HullRyde@osd.mil by 6 p.m. EDT, Monday, May 13. Journalists should arrive no later than 90 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.
The town hall will also be featured live on the Pentagon Channel and streamed online at www.defense.gov
