Press Briefing Set for Pentagon "Building Performance Report"
The Pentagon "Building Performance Report," which was recently completed by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), will be released at a press briefing Thursday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. EST. The briefing will be held on the first floor of the Pentagon's Wedge One apex, between Corridors 3 and 4.
The ASCE report contains an analysis of the significance of the Pentagon's structural system in saving lives and minimizing damage following the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the building. The study examines the features and mechanisms that contributed to the Pentagon's resiliency.
