Updated - Rumsfeld to Host MoND of Poland
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host an honor cordon to welcome Polish Minister of National Defense Jerzy Szmajdzinski to the Pentagon at 1 p.m. EDT today, April 23, 2002.
The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon River Entrance no later than 12:30 p.m. EDT for the cordon.
Rumsfeld and Szmajdzinski will conduct a joint media availability at the River Entrance at 1:45 p.m. EDT. Media must be at the Pentagon River Entrance no later than 1:15 p.m. EDT for the cordon.
Media without a Pentagon building pass must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Media interested in audiovisual coverage of this event may contact Terry Mitchell at (703) 695-0169.
