Secretary Rumsfeld Visits Camp Pendleton
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will visit Camp Pendleton, Calif., to meet Marines, sailors, civilians and families on Tuesday, Aug. 27, and hold a press availability at 2:00 p.m. PDT at the 1st Marine Division headquarters. All news media representatives wishing to enter the installation to cover this event must contact the Camp Pendleton Media Relations Office at (760) 725-5044 no later than 4:30 p.m. PDT today.
The event will be broadcast live via satellite in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon room 2E781, at 5:00 p.m. EDT. Media without a Pentagon building pass must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification and should be at the River Entrance by 4:30 p.m. EDT.
