President Bush to Visit Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program Technology Evaluation Center
President George W. Bush will visit the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program Technology Evaluation Center (CAPTEC) in the Pentagon at 9 a.m. EDT, Tuesday, June 19, 2001. Following his visit to CAPTEC, Bush will address Department of Defense personnel in the Pentagon Auditorium Room 5A1070 at approximately 10:15 a.m. EDT.
CAPTEC provides assistive technology, such as adaptive computers, electronic equipment and devices specially designed to meet the needs of employees with disabilities. Coverage of the address in the Pentagon Auditorium is open to the press. Pre-set time is from 6:15 a.m. to 7 a.m. Television crews and photographers desiring to pre-set must be at the Pentagon River Entrance no later than 6:15 a.m. for escort. Media without pre-set requirement must be at the Pentagon River Entrance no later than 8:30 a.m. for credentialing and escort. Media wishing to cover this event must present valid press identification at the River Entrance to gain access. Coverage of the address in the Pentagon Auditorium will be carried live on Channel 13 of the Pentagon cable system.
