New Blood Donation Policy Delayed
In response to recent terrorist activities, the implementation date of the Defense Department's new policy on blood donor deferral criteria for variant Creutzfelt-Jakob disease has been changed from Sept. 14 to Oct. 29.
The new policy was first announced on Sept. 7, 2001, and can be found on the Web at http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/2001/b09072001_bt409-01.html .
