DoD Cancels 2001 Maintenance Symposium
The Department of Defense 2001 Maintenance Symposium originally scheduled for Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2001, at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Kansas City, Mo., has been cancelled.
Robert T. Mason, assistant deputy under secretary of Defense for Maintenance Policy, Programs and Resources, said, "The cancellation is both appropriate and necessary to ensure that the focus of the maintenance community, which is the foundation of our readiness and sustainment, is directly on the tasks at hand."
