Wolfowitz to Speak at Iftar Dinner
The Pentagon Chaplain will sponsor an interfaith Iftar dinner in the Executive Dining Room of the Pentagon at 5 p.m. EST, Friday, Nov. 30, 2001.
Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will deliver remarks before the dinner.
Iftar is the communal meal held after sundown when Muslims, who do not eat or drink anything from dawn to dusk during the holy month of Ramadan, break their fast. Participants will include Muslims serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces and others of various faiths.
