Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers departed Andrews Air Force Base, Md., today for a visit to Hawaii.
Myers will participate in two ceremonies commemorating the attack on Pearl Harbor, 60 years ago. On Friday morning, Dec. 7, 2001, he will be the guest speaker at the Flagpole Ceremony at Hickam Air Force Base, Oahu, Hawaii, and place a wreath. He will then travel to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, where he will make remarks and place a wreath during the memorial ceremony.
Myers will return to Washington following these events.
