Rumsfeld to Visit Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Belgium
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld departs Washington this afternoon, Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, to visit Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Belgium.
While in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, he will meet with senior leaders to discuss the ongoing war on terrorism and other regional and bilateral defense issues. While in Belgium he will participate in the semi-annual NATO defense ministerial meetings.
Rumsfeld is scheduled to return to Washington on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
