Background Briefing on SecDef Trip to Middle East and Gulf Region
A senior Defense official will provide a background briefing on Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen's upcoming trip to the Middle East and Gulf region at 2 p.m. EST in the Pentagon's DoD Briefing Room, Room 2E781, on March 30, 2000, immediately following the regularly scheduled news briefing.
Cohen is scheduled to leave on March 31 to visit U.S. forces in the region and to consult with his counterparts and senior government officials. Cohen is scheduled to return on April 12.
