Acquisition & Logistics Reform Week 2000 Announcement
The Department of Defense's annual Acquisition & Logistics Reform Week 2000 will begin with ceremonies Monday, May 22, 2000 at 9 a.m. EDT in the Pentagon courtyard. Opening speakers include Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Henry H. Shelton. The opening ceremony events are open for media coverage.
Under Secretary of Defense Jacques Gansler will present the David Packard Excellence in Acquisition Award following opening remarks. The award recognizes DoD civilian and/or military organizations, groups or teams who have made highly significant contributions to acquisition reform efforts.
