CONTRACTS

ARMY

Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, was awarded on April 24, 1997, a $6,476,130 modification to an $8,747,763 firm fixed price contract for 58,333 T-157I Track Shoe Assemblies, which support the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System. Work will be performed in St. Marys, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 30, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank- automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-97-C-T039).

Lockheed Martin Advanced Environmental Systems, Inc., Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded $52,366,288 as part of a $54,723,916 cost plus fixed fee contract for a solid rocket motor disposition system for Russia. Work will be performed in Perm, Russia (80%); and Albuquerque, N.M. (20%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 74 bids solicited on July 19, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Special Weapons Agency, Alexandria, Va. (DSWA01-97-C-0068).

Zodiac of North America, Stevensville, Md., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $353,436 as part of a $6,660,778 firm fixed price/requirements contract for 570 inflatable assault boats. Work will be performed in Spain and is expected to be completed by Sept. 24, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 23 bids solicited on Jan. 31, 1997, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAK01-97-D-0029).

ITT Corp., Aerospace Communications Division, Ft. Wayne, Ind., is being awarded $190,006,394 as part of a not-to-exceed $509,929,744 firm fixed price contract for a Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio Systems (SINCGARS) buyout, with enhancements, ancillary items and provisioning spares. This includes the basic period and two option periods. Work will be performed in Fort Wayne, Ind., and is expected to be completed by April 25, 2002. Of the total contract funds $117,187 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Dec. 24, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-C-C600).

AIR FORCE

Grumman Aerospace Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $14,500,000 face value increase to a firm price incentive contract to provide for one antenna radar applicable to the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft. The work will be performed at Westinghouse Norden Systems, Norwalk, Conn. Contract is expected to be completed March 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F19628-92/C-0035, P00342).

Syndetix, Inc., Las Cruces, N.M., is being awarded a $10,000,241 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for labor, supplies, materials, special equipment, and facilities required to support electronic warfare/electromagnetic test operations performed by the Army Test and Evaluation Command, Directorate of Applied Technology, Test, and Simulation, Big Crow Program Office, Kirtland AFB, N.M. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. At this time, $101,982 of the contract amount has been obligated. The work will be performed at Phillips Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, N.M. Contract is expected to be completed April 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 46 firms solicited and 2 proposals received. Solicitation began December 1996 and negotiations were completed April 1997. Phillips Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, N.M. is the contracting activity (F29601-97/D-0113).

Grumman Aerospace Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $6,892,701 face value increase to a firm price incentive contract to provide for 18 provisioning line items of initial spare/repair parts in support of low rate initial production of eleven (Lot VI) Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar Systems (JSTARS) aircraft. The work will be performed at Westinghouse Norden Systems, Norwalk, Conn. Contract is expected to be completed March 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F19628-92/C-0035, P00354).

NAVY

Hughes Trainers, Inc., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $17,282,876 modification to previously awarded contract N61339-95- C-0045 to exercise an option for the production of 157 Fire Support Combined Arms Tactical Trainers, site installation and preparation. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (10%), York, Pa. (65%), and Hunt Valley, Md. (25%), and is expected to be completed by December 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Div., Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Union Underwear Co., Inc., Bowling Green, Ky., is being awarded a $7,127,750 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for white and brown drawers and white and brown undershirts. One proposal was solicited and one was received. Work will be performed in St. Martinville, La., and is expected to be completed by July 18, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-96-D- 1024).

Koch Refining Company LP, Gloucester City, N.J., is being awarded a $9,698,675 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for #2 fuel oil; #4 fuel oil; and #6 fuel oil. Three hundred sixty sealed bids were solicited and twenty five were received. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C; Laurel, Md.; and Lorton, Va., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-96-D-4086).

Petron Oil Corp.*, Exton, Pa., is being awarded a $13,192,455 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for gasoline and #2 fuel oil. Three hundred sixty sealed bids were solicited and twenty five were received. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C; Laurel, Md.; and Lorton, Va., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-96- D-4103).

BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE ORGANIZATION

On April 25, 1997, the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization awarded two contracts for the concept definition study phase of the National Missile Defense Lead Systems Integrator competition. The $8 million firm-fixed-price contracts were awarded to United Missile Defense Company, Bethesda, Md., and Boeing North American, Inc., Downey, Calif. The contracts have a six month period of performance with no options. The contracting activity is the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, 7100 Defense Pentagon, Washington, D.C. 20301-7100, under contract HQ0006-97-C-0011. These contracts will utilize FY-97 Research and Development funds.
