CORRECTION: Yesterday, the Air Force announced a $7,828,565 firm fixed price contract with Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corp., Carson City, Nevada. This contract was not awarded. If and when it is, we will announce it.

McDonnell Douglas Aerospace-East, Berkeley, Mo., is being awarded a $19,836,896 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for low rate initial production of 937 Joint direct Attack Munition (JDAM) kits. JDAM is a strap-on kit with Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System capability that will provide an improved aerial delivery capability for existing 1000 and 2000-pound bombs. The work will be performed at McDonnell Douglas-East, Berkeley, Mo. (75%) and Honeywell, Inc., Minneapolis, Minn. (25%). Contract is expected to be completed May 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-94/C-0003, P00076).

NAVY

Douglas E. Barnhart, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $9,481,184 firm-fixed-price contract for the design, engineering and construction of a three-story Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) located in Area 52 at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Calif. Work will be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 1998. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 30 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-95-C-7801).

COMPTEK Federal Systems, Inc., Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded a $10,066,563 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for combat system engineering, integration, and technical support for surface ship acquisition and modernization and new ship systems program engineering for Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va. Work will be performed Crystal City, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 1998. Contract funds in the amount of $48,884 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by an undefined number of proposals solicited on the Internet and two offers were received. ARMY

GTE Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., was awarded on April 29, 1997, a $10,945,270 modification to a firm-fixed-price /time and material contract for Common Hardware Software-2 (CHS- 2), customer orders for battlefield support automated systems. Items include both ruggedized and non-ruggedized computers and peripheral items to include workstations, handheld terminal units, printers, uninterruptible power supplies, mass storage devices, software and software and software maintenance. Also required is technical and engineering support services. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 28, 2005. Of the total contract funds, $34,110 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1993 and 3 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-94-C-N853).

East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc., Lyon Station, Pa., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $15,244,868 on a firm- fixed price contract for 209,140 (6TLFP) batteries, 3,508 (4HN) batteries and 18, 308 (2HN) batteries for use in various vehicles. Work will be performed in Lyon Station, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the current fiscal year.
