AIR FORCE
CONTRACTS
Honeywell, Inc., Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a
$5,330,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for 82 Embedded
Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (EGI) units
and associated warranties, in support of the OH-58D aircraft.
Contract is expected to be completed May 1999. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the
contracting activity (F33657-93/C-0002, P00098).
ARMY
Hughes Missile Systems, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a
$7,803,100 letter contract modification to a not-to-exceed
$17,200,000 firm fixed price contract for conversion of the
STINGER Reprogrammable Microprocessor (RMP) Missile to the
STINGER Block 1 configuration. Work will be performed in Tucson,
Ariz., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1999.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 19, 1997.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command,
Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0101).
Absher Construction Co., Puyallup, Wash., is being awarded a
$43,909,228 firm fixed price contract for FY97 whole barracks
renewal. The project consists of constructing one 300-room
barracks, two medium company operations and supply buildings, one
large company operations and supply building, three battalion
headquarters and classroom buildings, one
brigade command and control building, one dining facility, one
guard house, and approximately three miles of new road and
widening of existing roads. Work will be performed at Fort
Lewis, Wash., and is expected to be completed by March 30, 2000.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 175 bids solicited on Jan. 31, 1997 and four
bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash. (DACA67-97-C-0031).
NAVY
United Defense LP (UDLP), Armament Systems Div.,
Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded a $9,245,565 fixed-price-
incentive contract for production of a fixed propulsor aft
assembly and associated items for the Seawolf class submarines.
This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring
the cumulative value of the entire contract to $19,023,371. Work
will be performed in Minneapolis, Minn., and is expected to be
completed by May 2000. Contract funds would not have expired at
the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured with two proposals solicited and two
offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va.,
is the contracting activity (N00024-97-C-4012).
