CONTRACTS
Western Design Howden, Irving, Calif., is being awarded a
firm fixed price requirements contract (appropriation number and
dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with an
estimated cumulative total of $9,500,000 if all options are
exercised, for spare parts for the 12-pak magazine and
loader/downloader in support of the AH-64A Apache helicopter.
Work will be performed in Irvine, Calif., and is expected to be
completed by May 20, 2002. This is a sole source contract
initiated on March 10, 1997. The contracting activity is the
U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill.
(DAAE20-97-D-0008).
AIR FORCE
Boeing Defense and Space Group, Wichita, Kansas, was awarded
on May 20, a $24,000,000 firm fixed price contract to provide
for long lead materials and effort to support Re-engine
Modification Hardware Kits in the following quantities for the
following aircraft: four for the RC-135E, and two for the KC-
135A aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed October
1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. There was one firms solicited and one proposal
received. Solicitation began April 1997; negotiations were
completed October 1997. Approximately 30% of this effort
supports foreign military sales to Singapore. Oklahoma City Air
Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, is the contracting
activity (F34601-97/C-0001, P00002).
Lockheed Martin Corp., Colorado Springs, Colo., is being
awarded a $30,409,077 face value increase to a cost plus award
fee contract to provide for effort required to implement the
Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) Version 1.0
activities, including development of the TBMCS Version 1.0
software. Contract is expected to be completed September 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the
contracting activity (F19628-95/C-0143, P00096).
Northrop Grumman Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a
$58,075,183 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract
to provide for the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System
(JSTARS) Computer Replacement Program. This action provides for
development of replacements for the Programmable Signal
Processor, the Operator Work Station Local Area Network, and
Signal Pre-Processor/Pulse Compression Unit. Contract is
expected to be completed November 1999. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems
Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-
90/C-0197, P00109).
NAVY
PRC, Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $9,120,672 cost-
plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract
for engineering, technical, and logistics services in support of
surface combatants. This contract includes options which, if
exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to
$72,865,090. Work will be performed in Camarillo, Calif. (45%),
Port Hueneme, Calif. (30%), and at various other government
facilities and installations within the U.S. and worldwide (25%),
and is expected to be completed by September 1997. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This contract was competitively procured with 66 proposals
solicited and two offers received. The Port Hueneme Division,
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, Calif., is the
contracting activity (N63394-97-D-2106).
