ARMY
AM General, South Bend, Ind., was awarded on May 29, 1997, a
$6,664,870 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract for
system technical support for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled
Vehicles (HMMWVs), including all basic A1 and A2 models, Expanded
Capacity Vehicles (ECVs), XM1109, XM1114, XM1115 and XM1116 up-
armored variants and the base up-armored chassis. Work will be
performed in Livonia, Mich., and is expected to be completed by
April 30, 1999. Of the total contract funds, $144,956 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole
source contract initiated on April 22, 1991. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command,
Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-92-C-R010).
General Dynamics Land Systems, Sterling Heights, Mich., was
awarded $11,353,950 on May 30, 1997, as part of a $22,707,920
firm fixed price contract for 547 Pulse Jet Systems and Subkits
(515 in support of the M1A1 Abrams Tank). Work will be performed
in Sterling Heights, Mich.**, and is expected to be completed by
April 28, 2000. Of the total contract funds, $11,353,960 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole
source contract initiated on March 31, 1997. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command,
Rock Island, Ill. (DAAE20-97-G-0002).
Modern Technologies Corp., Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded an
increment (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued
with each delivery order) of a $7,552,954 modification to a time
and materials contract as option to extend the term of the
contract for one year for Health Physics Support Services for the
U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command Safety Office.
Work will be performed at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (80%); and at
various continental United States sites (20%), and is expected to
be completed by June 6, 2000. There were 20 bids solicited on
Feb. 27, 1995, and four bids were received. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command,
Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-95-D-H005).
J&J/HJ, a joint venture, Austin, Texas, is being awarded
$203,500 of a maximum potential $50,000,000 firm fixed price job
order contract for construction services for the renovation,
repair and maintenance of facilities. Work will be performed at
Ft. Bliss, Texas, and is expected to be completed by June 30,
2002. Of the total contract funds, $203,500 will expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. There were 84 bids solicited on
Feb. 5, 1997, and 11 bids were received. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ft. Worth, Texas
(DACA63-97-D-0021).
