AIR FORCE

GEC-Marconi Hazeltine Corp., Wayne, N.J., is being awarded a $24,727,591 firm fixed price contract to provide for 34 Class 2M Terminals and associated spares and services applicable to the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS). Contract is expected to be completed November 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one proposal received. Solicitation began December 1996; negotiations were completed April 1997. Electronic Systems Command, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/C-0035).

NAVY

General Dynamics Defense Systems, Pittsfield Mass., is being awarded a $17,611,246 fixed-price contract for production of the Guided Missile Director Mark 82, Mod 0 with Director Control Mark 200, Mod 0 for DDGs 85, 86, 87, and 88 and for Spanish F-100 class ships F-101, F-102, F-103, and F-104. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (54%), and the Government of Spain (46%), under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $29,323,058. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with two proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-97-C-5189).

Morrison Knudsen Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, is being awarded a $1,486,441 modification to previously awarded contract N62467-93-D-1106 for environmental remedial action to provide for the pilot scale operation of a bio composting facility to remediate explosive contaminated soils at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $300,000,000. Work will be performed in Crane, Ind., and is expected to be completed by November 1997. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.

International Technology Corp., Martinez, Calif., is being awarded a $1,697,303 delivery order under an existing indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-award-fee contract for environmental remedial action to provide for construction, operations and monitoring of a removal action utilizing bioslurping as a long-term source remediation at Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, Calif. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $200,000,000. Work will be performed in China Lake, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 352 proposals solicited and nine offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-93-D-2151).

Dillingham Construstion, N.A., Inc., Pleasanton, Calif., is being awarded a $9,754,474 firm-fixed-price contract for upgrade and extension of Ammunition Pier 3 at Naval Weapons Station, Concord, Calif. Work will be performed in Concord, Calif., and is expected to be completed by November 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 123 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-95-C-2887).

W. B. Meredith, II, Inc.,* Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $6,242,562 firm-fixed-price contract for an addition and utility upgrade and extension of a Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity at Naval Station, Norfolk, Va. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 67 proposals solicited and 12 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-94-C-4191).

ARMY

John C. Grimburg Co. Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $5,930,644 firm fixed price contract for construction of an administration facility, a two-story building to house administrative storage and special communications functions, complete with all necessary site improvements/utilities, plus access road and parking. Work will be performed at Fort Detrick, Md., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 49 bids solicited on April 14, 1997, and 11 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-97-C-0040).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

River/Road Construction Inc., Mandeville, La., is being awarded a $30,000 increment as part of an $8,355,860 firm fixed price contract for construction of a four-lane divided highway bridge consisting of reinforced concrete slabs placed on prestressed concrete AASHTO girders

on prestressed concrete cylinder pile column bents, which will span the Davis Pond Diversion Channel at U.S. Highway 90. The work also requires construction of a temporary detour road, two guide levees, various drainage features; relocating a waterline and excavation. Work will be performed in St. Charles Parish, La., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 8, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 52 bids solicited on June 14, 1996, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La. (DACW29-97-C-0060).
