DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Tennessee Apparel Corp.*, Tullahoma, Tenn., is being awarded a $8,354,046 firm-fixed-price contract for extended cold weather clothing system trousers. One proposal was solicited and one was received. Work is expected to be completed by October 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-97-C-5094).

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded an $8,895,108 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to definitize th eLot IV Production Configuration Update Effort for two E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed October 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-95/C-0169, PZ0007).

NAVY

Kongsberg Gruppen Aerospace AS, Kongsberg, Norway, is being awarded a $6,059,999 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of six MK2 MOD7 Penguin Missiles for the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in Kongsberg, Norway, and is expected to be completed in April 1999. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0026).

Signal Communication Systems and Supply, Inc., Greensboro, N.C., is being awarded a $10,407,119 firm-fixed-price contract to provide funding to instrument a mock third world village for the U.S. Army. This village will be equipped with audio and visual equipment that can monitor, record, and manipulate data from a real time training exercise within the Military

Operations on Urbanized Terrain (MOUT) maneuver area. The capability of providing special effects such as sound and smoke are required to provide a realistic battlefield environment. Work will be performed in Greensboro, N.C. (5%), and Ft. Polk, La. (95%), and is expected to be completed in July 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-97-C-0070).

Johnson Controls World Services, Cape Canaveral, Fla., is being awarded a $23,067,773 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for base operating services at the Naval Security Station, Washington, D.C. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed in July 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 47 proposals solicited and four offers received. The Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N62477-96-D-0134).
