ARMY

Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $1,095,000 increment of a $3,958,492 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Counterproliferation Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) System engineering and integration. Work will be performed in McLean, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 21, 1997. The contracting activity is the Defense Nuclear Agency, Alexandria, Va. (DNA001-95-C-0181).

DARPA

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded a $1,441,611 increment of a $12,132,132 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. This is a change order to complete the design and implementation of the Bosnian Command and Control Augmentation (BC2A) system baseline; system security accreditation; integration of BC2A subsystems with the local area networks at United States/European Command sites; and integration of advanced information management tools onto the BC2A information servers. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Mass. (42%); Arlington, Va. (35%); Reston, Va. (17%); and Greenbelt, Md. (6%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement on Jan. 7, 1997, and 66 bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va. (MDA972-95-C-0035).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Halifax Technical Services Inc., Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $1,679,405 increment as part of an $8,702,135 (if all options are exercised, base year plus four option years), for facility maintenance. The contractor will provide services, materials, supplies; plant, labor, equipment, utilities and supervision to operate, maintain and repair highway drawbridges, navigation locks, water control spillways, the canal waterway, real property facilities and land

owned by the U.S. Army Engineer District. Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 21 bids solicited on March 3, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, Va. (DACW65-97-C-0091).

NAVY

International Technology Corp., Martinez, Calif., is being awarded a $1,335,506 modification to previously awarded contract N62474-93-D-2151 to exercise options for environmental remedial action which provides for construction of a Landfill Cap on Site 1 at Moffett Federal Airfield, Mountain View, Calif. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $200,000,000. Work will be performed in Mountain View, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity.

McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $7,146,690 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-94-G-0125 for Phase 1A hardware fabrication, services, and testing of the Standoff Land Attack Missile Automatic Target Acquisition Program. Work will be performed in Trenton, N.J. (16%), and St. Louis, Mo., (84%), and is expected to be completed by July 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Vibration and Sound Solutions, Ltd., Alexandria, Va., is being awarded an $11,893,182 cost-plus-fixed-fee completion for research and development contract for continued development of technology to electromagnetically control machinery rafts onboard submarines. This contract provides for the development of a quarter-scale model and in water testing of that model. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va. (64%), the United Kingdom (25%), Newport News, Va. (6%), and Gaithersberg, Md. (5%), and is expected to be completed by May 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $254,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a Broad Agency Announcement. The Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00014-97-C-0140).
