ARMY

Fletcher Pacific Construction Co. Ltd., Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded an $8,549,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of service buildings and administrative facilities, including a maintenance shop facility, administrative/support facility, and calibration shop building. Supporting facilities include utilities, electrical service, air-conditioning, interior/exterior lighting, fire protection and alarm systems including fire sprinklers, telecommunications, sidewalks, paving, parking, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, landscaping, and site improvements, including demolition of several buildings presently within the footprint of the new construction. Work will be performed at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by March 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 236 bids solicited on July 18, 1997, and ten bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Shafter, Hawaii (DACA83-97-C-0032).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

The Middlesex Corp., Chelmsford, Mass., is being awarded a $6,774,400 firm-fixed-price contract for the Coastal Flood Damage Reduction Project, which consists of providing protection from flooding by stabilizing the existing shoreline, providing increased drainage facilities and constructing a backwater protection island, stairway access, habitat creation, and roadway gate closure. Work will be performed at Roughan's Point, Revere, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 1, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 44 bids solicited on July 14, 1997, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Waltham, Mass. (DACW33-97-C-0021).

C O R R E C T I O N

Contract DAAB07-97-C-C775, announced Sept. 16, 1997, to Hughes Aircraft Co., should have stated that the cumulative total of $198,209,059 is based on options being exercised. The completion date is expected to be June 30, 2003.

NAVY

RF Microsytems, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $9,912,268 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-95-C-5176 to exercise an option for technical and engineering services for radio transmission in support of the Joint Special Operations Division at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

The Boeing Co., McDonnell Aircraft and Missile Systems, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a ceiling amount $9,835,297 indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for services for system engineering and technology investigation to support Navy Tactical Aircraft and systems produced by McDonnell Douglas Aerospace. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (80%), and Patuxent River, Md. (20%), and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-97-D-1456).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Washington Gas Energy Services, Herndon, Va., was awarded a $5,763,519 firm-fixed-price, fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas. Four hundred sixty-six proposals were solicited and fifty-one were received. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-97-D-7546).
