DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sunkyong America, Inc., New York, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,021,430 fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for naval distillate fuel, F76. Seventy-three proposals were solicited and eleven were received. Work will be performed in an overseas location and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-97-D-0528).

Idemitsu Apollo Corporation, New York, N.Y., is being awarded a $66,739,065 fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for naval distillate fuel, F76. Seventy-three proposals were solicited and nine were received. Work will be performed in an overseas location and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-97-D-0525).

DukeSolutions, Inc., Charlotte, N.C., was awarded a $11,530,508 fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas on Sept. 17, 1997. Four hundred sixty-six proposals were solicited and fifty-one were received. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. AIR FORCE

TRW Inc., Carson, Calif., was awarded on September 16, a $495,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for various equipment for the Government Tactical Automated Security System (TASS). This equipment includes tactical and relocatable sensors, handheld monitors, laptop and desktop annunciators, data communication equipment, handheld and long rage thermal imagers, software, interface equipment, and support items. There were 15 firms solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began June 1997; negotiations were completed

September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The work is expected to be completed October 2002. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/D-0034).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., was awarded on September 16, a $5,690,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for proposal preparation and long lead engineering for the Block 35.3 software upgrade to the Royal Saudi Air Force E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft and ground support equipment. Negotiations were completed August 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/C-0077).

Radian International, San Antonio, Texas, and Dames and Moore, San Antonio, Texas, was awarded on September 16, a $200,000,000 indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract to provide for professional architecht-engineering services to perform preliminary assessment in support of environmental remediation efforts. This contract is part of a program involving five other contractors valued at a total maximum of $360,000,000, with no single contract exceeding the maximum of $200,000,000. The best estimated value for this contract is $50,000,000. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This effort will partially finded by the Defense Environmental Restoration Account. Radian International will perform this effort at various government installations worldwide. There were 65 proposals received. Solicitation began May 1997; negotiations were completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The work is expected to be completed October 2004. Human Systems Center, Brooks AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity Radian International (F41624-97/D-8020) Dames and Moore (F41624-97/D-8016).

ARMY

Valenzuela Engineering Inc., Santa Maria, Calif., was awarded on Sept 17, 1997, a $2,808,577 increment as part of a $14,494,427 (if all options are exercised, base year plus four option years) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide emergency monitoring and control system/supervisory and control data acquisition/automatic metering for various facilities and to facilitate the energy savings program. Work will be performed at Edwards Air Force Base**, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 150 bids solicited on July 18, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif. (DACA09-97-D-0032).

Guyco Inc., Lampasas, Texas, is being awarded a guaranteed minimum amount of $600,000 as part of a $90,000,000 (base period with four option periods) firm-fixed-price contract for modular barracks rehabilitation. The project is for renovation of seven three-story modular barracks, to include replacement of fan coil units and controls, heat/chilled water, distribution piping with a four pipe system, plumbing modifications, alterations to interior

partitions, new doors and windows, finishes, kitchenette and bath upgrade, and electrical and fire alarm system upgrades. Work will be performed at Fort Hood, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 18, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 51 bids solicited on July 21, 1997, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas (DACA63-97-D-0043).

NAVY

Sonalysts, Inc., Waterford, Conn., is being awarded a $13,803,503 indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee provisions contract to provide simulation modeling analysis of submarine and surface ship baseline performance. Work will be performed in Waterford, Conn. (75%), and Newport, R.I. (25%), and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 27 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-97-D-5775).

Science Applied International Corp./MARIPRO, Goleta, Calif., is being awarded a $9,554,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee/award-fee contract for the design, production, and installation of a fixed, shallow-water training range consisting of hydrophones and cabling. Work will be performed in Goleta, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 57 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0161).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Information Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded an $8,149,019 cost-plus-award-fee delivery order under an indefinite-quantity contract for the Battlespace Integrated Concept Emulation Program for the U.S. Army. Work will be performed in Ft. Hood, Texas (80%); Tampa, Fla. (10%); Ft. Rucker, Ala. (5%); and Orlando, Fla. (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 125 proposals solicited and two offers received.
