DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Owens & Minor, Corp., Glen Allen, Va., is being awarded a $5,084,750 firm-fixed-price modified-requirements contract for medical/surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Franklin, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 10, 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200- 97-D-7127).

ARMY

Pacific Medical Center, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded $650,000 as part of a $358,267,645 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price contract for provision by the designated provider, of comprehensive health care services and associated support services for persons eligible to enroll under the Uniformed Services Treatment Facility Managed Care Plan. Work will be performed in Seattle, Wash., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 21, 1996. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-98-C-0002).

Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston, Texas, is being awarded $800,000 as part of a $479,232,551 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price contract for provision by the designated provider, of comprehensive health care services and associated support services for persons eligible to enroll under the Uniformed Services Treatment Facility Managed Care Plan. Work will be performed in the Houston metropolitan area, Texas, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 21, 1996. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-98-C-0003).

AIR FORCE

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, Dallas, Texas is being awarded a $15,534,605 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for overhaul/repair of 613,360 (best estimated quantity) compressor vanes applicable to the TF39 engine on the C-5 aircraft. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three firms solicited and three proposals received. Solicitation began June 1997; negotiations were completed July 1997. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas is the contracting activity (F41608-97/D-0821).

Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., Indianapolis, Ind. is being awarded a $15,924,667 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for overhaul/repair of 555,146 (best estimated quantity) Stage 2-16 Compressor Blades applicable to the TF39 engine on the C-5 aircraft. The work will be performed at the contractor's facility in North Kansas City, Missouri. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three firms solicited and three proposals received. Solicitation began June 1997; negotiations were completed July 1997. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas is the contracting activity (F41608-97/D-0820).

Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, Palmdale, Calif. is being awarded a $119,760,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for FY 1997 support services for the F-117A aircraft. This effort includes logistics support, sustaining engineering, avionics software engineering, technical data, specialized repair activity, supply support, depot modifications, and flight test support. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. The work is expected to be completed September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Sacramento Air Logistics Center, McClellan AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04735-98/C-0001).

NAVY

Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $76,925,000 ceiling amount letter contract for the procurement of nine AH-1W helicopters and associated logistics support for the Taiwanese Army (100%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0179).

Pacific Ship Repair and Fabrication, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $35,080,682 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery contract to perform general and specific propulsion work of an emergent and critical nature on aircraft carriers during CV upkeep period maintenance availabilities. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $85,138,609. Work will be performed San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with five proposals solicited and three offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62791-98-C-0040).

Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $33,969,261 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-97-C-2103 to exercise an option providing engineering, technical, and design services to support the Seawolf Class Submarines. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds in the amount of $13,180,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Pacific Ship Repair and Fabrication, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $33,382,839 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery contract to perform general and specific propulsion work of an emergent and critical nature on aircraft carriers during CV upkeep period maintenance availabilities. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $81,177,877. Work will be performed San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with five proposals solicited and three offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62791-98-C-0039).

Computer Science Corporation, San Diego, is being awarded a $16,641,732 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for engineering services and technical support for Information Systems and Network Technology programs. Existing systems/programs to be supported include, but are not limited to, the Low Level Serial Switch (LLSS), High Speed Digital Switch (HSDS), Local Area Network (LAN) development site, electromagnetic pulse (EMP), and fiber optic communication systems. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $27,994,824. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and the expected completion date is October 1998. This contract was competitively procured with 78 proposals solicited and two offers received.
