ARMY

Government Technology Services Inc.*, Chantilly, Va., is being awarded $100,000 of a $469,900,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, firm-fixed-price contract for the Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) computer contract - II (SCC-II), which will provide commercial notebooks, desktops, and server computers; peripheral equipment; network equipment; system support software; associated documentation and reports; integration; maintenance; and technical support services to meet worldwide STAMIS requirements. The equipment and services will support both current and future STAMIS programs, in tactical and non-tactical operations in the Continental United States, Europe and the Far East. Both environments require platforms which are compliant with open systems standards as described in the Department of Defense's Technical Architecture Framework for Information Management (TAFIM) and Department of the Army Technical Architecture (ATA). Currently not all STAMIS are open systems or ATA compliant; however, the Army's goal is to migrate all STAMIS to an open systems environment compliant with the ATA. As part of the technical support services provided under this contract, the contractor may perform engineering studies or develop device drivers to facilitate the migration of these STAMIS to an open systems environment compliant with the ATA. Work will be performed in Chantilly, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the electronic bulletin board on June 2, 1997, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-D-V001).

NAVY

Westinghouse Electric Corp., West Mifflin Borough, Penn., is being awarded a $332,200,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-89-C-4003 for Naval nuclear propulsion work. Work will be performed in West Mifflin Borough, Penn. No completion date or additional information is provided on nuclear propulsion contracts. Contract funds in the amount of $139,010,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL), Inc., Schenectady, N.Y., is being awarded a $161,700,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-91-C-4355 for Naval nuclear propulsion work. Work will be performed in Schenectady, N.Y. No completion date or additional information is provided on nuclear propulsion contracts. Contract funds in the amount of $46,764,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Digital System Resources Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $17,559,676 cost-plus-award-fee contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee provisions for design, development, integration, test and evaluation of the Control and Processing Subsystem (CAP) for the Advanced Integrated Electronic Warfare System (AIEWS). This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $20,678,070. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va. (70%), and Goleta, Calif. (30%), and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-5411).

Resource Consultants, Inc., Vienna, Va., is being awarded a $7,300,580 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee provisions for engineering, technical, logistic and management support services in support of avionics systems and subsystems at the Naval Aviation Depot, North Island, San Diego, Calif. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $37,946,520. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 72 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00244-98-D-0001).

Continental Maritime of San Diego, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $5,508,433 firm-fixed-price contract for the Selected Restricted Availability of USS Constellation (CV 64). This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $7,243,624. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by April 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with four proposals solicited and three offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62791-98-C-0001).
