ARMY

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

B & B Dredging Co.*, Chicago, Ill., is being awarded a $5,385,216 firm-fixed-price contract for rental of a hopper dredge and attendant plant, for dredging of Mobile Harbor channels. Work will be performed in Mobile, Ala., and is expected to be completed by July 20, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were eight bids solicited on June 27, 1997, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACW01-98-C-0003).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $333,403,692 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for the F-15C Multi-Stage Improvement Program (MSIP) and Aerial Combat Enhanced Simulation (ACES) program. These programs will provide simulation services providing a range of mission simulations in a networked environment. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The work will be performed at McDonnell Douglas' facility in St. Louis, Mo.; at Eglin AFB, Fla., and at Langley AFB, Va. There were two proposals received. Solicitation began June 1997; negotiations were completed October 1997. Contract is expected to be completed March 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97/D-0025).

Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems, Ft. Worth, Texas is being awarded a $5,605,920 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 282 Global Positioning System (GPS) Retrofit Kits applicable to the F-16C and D aircraft (250 for the F-16C and 32 for the F-16D) and 282 Commodity Kits. Contract is expected to be completed February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-95/C-2028, P00027).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $64,875,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 8 Re-Engine Modification Kits applicable to the RC/KC-135 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Approximately 25% of this effort (2 kits) supports foreign military sales to Singapore. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-97/C-0001, P00004).

NAVY

Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc., Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded an $11,435,864 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-94-C-2802 for Follow Yard Services on the DDG 51 Class AEGIS Destroyers. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss., and is expected to be completed by November 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

  • Litton Applied Technology, San Jose, Calif., is being awarded a $9,406,694 firm-fixed-price contract to procure 24 AN/ALR-67B(V)2 countermeasures receiving sets for the Spanish Air Force F/A-18 Program under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Pennsylvania State University, Applied Research Laboratory, State College, Pa., is being awarded a $7,529,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00039-97-D-0042 to exercise an option to provide support for specific Navy and other Government programs through research, development, engineering, test and evaluation. Areas contracted for will include: guidance, navigation and control of undersea systems, advanced thermal propulsion, advanced propulsors, materials technology and manufacturing technology, atmosphere and undersea communications and other related technologies. Work will be performed in State College, Pa. (76%), subcontracting locations too numerous to itemize (13%), Warminster, Pa. (6%), and Keyport, Wash. (5%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Anteon Corp., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $5,792,708 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for engineering support services to military electronic warfare and communication systems Navy wide. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $29,929,410. Work will be performed throughout the United States and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 47 proposals solicited and 1 offer received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-98-D-5022).

Hughes Missile Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $2,288,772 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-5431 for life cycle maintenance support for the MK 15 PHALANX Close-in-Weapons System (CIWS), MK 23 Target Acquisition System (TAS), and Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Programs. This modification provides for the partial exercise of the cost-plus-award-fee FY 98 option in the amount of $2,288,772 with a cumulative value of $17,819,711. Work will be performed in Louisville, Ky., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. This contract includes purchases for the U.S. Navy and for various foreign governments, under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. The foreign governments and percentages of purchases, will be incorporated into this contract at a later date. Contract funds in the amount of $2,288,772 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

United Defense Limited Partnership, Armament Systems Division, Louisville, Ky., is being awarded a $1,172,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-5432 for FY 98 life cycle maintenance support of navy gun weapons systems. This modification provides for the partial exercise of the cost-plus-award-fee FY 98 option in the amount of $1,172,000. The total value of the FY 98 option for U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers is $13,879,470. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $203,780,003. This contract includes purchases for the U.S. Navy and for various foreign governments, under the FMS Program. The foreign governments and percentages of purchases will be incorporated into this contract at a later date. Work will be performed in Louisville, Ky., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds in the amount of $1,172,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
