DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

The Wornick Company*, McAllen, Texas, is being awarded a $65,743,650 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for assembly of meals, ready-to-eat. Three proposals were solicited and three were received. Work will be performed in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-97-D-Z101).

The Black Beauty Resources, Inc.*, Evansville, Ind., is being awarded a $46,314,450 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for assembly of meals, ready-to-eat. Three proposals were solicited and three were received. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-97-D- Z102).

Sopackco, Mullins, S.C., is being awarded a $29,818,971 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for assembly of meals, ready-to-eat. Three proposals were solicited and three were received. Work will be performed in Bennettsville, S.C., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300- 97-D-Z103).

Kaman Sciences Corporation, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $64,521,269 cost-plus-fixed-fee research and development contract for basic center operations and technical area tasks in support of the Department of Defense Data and Analysis Center for Software. Seventy-two proposals were solicited and two were received. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and Rome, N.Y. and is expected to be completed by 2006. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SPO700-98-D-4000).

AIR FORCE

Rockwell International Corp., Cedar Rapics, Iowa, was awarded on November 7, a $53,943,270 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for the following in support of the Pacer CRAF (Compass, Radar and Global Positioning System) upgrade program for the KC-135 aircraft: 94 each Group A and B Production Kits, 22 Supplemental Group B Kits, and associated warranties. Approximately 2% of this effort supports foreign military sales to Singapore. Contract is expected to be completed April 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity (F34601-96/C-0001, P00035).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., was awarded on November 7, an $8,370,283 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for the Period 13 (April - September 1997) Earned Award Fee for performance of the Engineering and Manufacturing Development Contract for the F119 engine applicable to the F-22 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-91/C-0007, P00157).

Flight Safety Services Corp., Englewood, Colo., was awarded on November 7, a $7,372,164 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for FY 1998 operation, maintenance, and support for the Aircrew Training System for the C-141 aircraft. The work will be performed at Flight Safety Services in Englewood, Colo. (42%), at their East Coast Training Facility, Burlington, N.J. (28%) and at Altus AFB, Okla. (28%). Contract is expected to be completed September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-95/C-0048, P00016).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on November 7, a $16,633,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for the Weapon System Software Technology Support, New and Creative Technologies program. This program involves research and development to improve affordability and mission effectiveness of complex weapon systems through advances in software technology. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. There were 5 proposals received. Solicitation began March 1997; negotiations were completed October 1997. Contract is expected to be completed November 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Wright Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-97/D-1155).

Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., Pasadena, Calif., was awarded on November 7, a $131,100,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for environmental services to support full-service remedial actions at the Massachusetts Military Reservation, Cape Cod, Mass. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. There was one firm

solicited and one proposal received. Contract is expected to be completed May 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Human Systems Center, Brooks, AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41624-97/D-8006, MOD PZ0001).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., was awarded on November 7, an $8,370,283 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for the Period 13 (April - September 1997) Earned Award Fee for performance of the Engineering and Manufacturing Development Contract for the F119 engine applicable to the F-22 aircraft. Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $452,438,199 fixed-price-incentive contract to provide for Engineering and Manufacturing Development of functional improvements to the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. These improvements which will expand the performance and flexibility of the aircraft involve the radar, communication, avionics, computer, and navigation systems. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began July 1997; negotiations were completed September 1997. Contract is expected to be completed July 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/C-0112).

NAVY

Tracor Aerospace Electronic Systems, Inc., Lansdale, Pa., is being awarded a $60,277,817 modification to previously awarded contract F09603-91-C-1284 to exercise an option for 120 transmitters to be used on the EA-6B aircraft. Work will be performed in Lansdale, Pa., and is expected to be completed by July 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

General Dynamics Defense Systems, Pittsfield, Mass., is being awarded a $22,327,912 cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for the FY 98 operational support, field engineering services, repair and recertification effort for the TRIDENT Fire Control System. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds in the amount of $17,048,214 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-98-C-0001).
