ARMY

Hughes Missile System Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $46,741,876 firm-fixed-price contract for 2,274 Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided (TOW) 2A Missiles and 419 TOW 2A Practice Missiles. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 26, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-0013).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

LECON Inc., Houston, Texas, is being awarded a $300,000 increment as part of a $7,095,688 firm-fixed-price contract for channel rectification, Swallow to Mykawa, Houston, Texas, Sims Bayou. The project consists of channel excavation, backfill, storm drains, cellular concrete mats, relief wells, steel sheet piling, and landscaping. Work will be performed in Houston, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 20, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 61 bids solicited on Sept. 23, 1997, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston, Texas (DACW64-98-C-0003).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Inc., Owego, N.Y., was awarded on November 19, a $14,741,719 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for definitization of the CC-2Er memory Upgrade for five E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/C-0050, PZ0002).
