DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bergen Brunswig Medical Corporation, Orange, Calif., was awarded on Nov. 26, 1997, a $14,330,540 requirements contract for medical and surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Fayetteville, N.C., and Columbia, S.C., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 5, 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200-96-D-7112/7113).

ARMY

Raytheon Co., Bedford, Mass., was awarded on Nov. 28, 1997, a $13,460,578 modification (to definitize letter contract dated Dec. 24, 1996) to a firm-fixed-price contract for PATRIOT classification, discrimination and identification Phase III Kits, installation, and concurrent spares. Work will be performed in Andover, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 24, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-96-C-0114).

JAVELIN Joint Venture, Texas Instruments Inc. and Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $165,215,795 modification to a firm-fixed-price multi-year contract for full rate production of the JAVELIN Weapon System. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (35%); and Lewisville, Texas (65%), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 23, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0209).

Contract Services Inc.* (CSI), Junction City, Kan., is being awarded $3,998,602 as part of a $28,204,593 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide direct support/general support maintenance, aircraft maintenance and operate and maintain a vehicle washrack facility. Work will be performed at Fort Riley, Kan., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Of the

total contract funds, $3,998,602 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 27 bids solicited on Oct. 7, 1996, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the Directorate of Contracting, Fort Riley, Kan. (DAKF19-98-C-0007).

AIR FORCE

Madison Services, Inc., Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $9,513,998 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for maintenance of military family housing at McGuire AFB, N.J. from April through September 1998. At this time, $1,568,098 of the contract funds have been obligated. There were 151 firms solicited and 15 proposals received. Solicitation began June 1997; negotiations were completed October 1997. Contract funds in the amount of $496,559.72 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 305th Contracting Squadron, McGuire AFB, N.J. is the contracting activity (F288609-98/D0001).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $6,043,587 face value increase to a time-and-materials contract to provide for contractor support through July 2000 for the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Radar System Improvement Program. This support will include cataloging, prioritization, investigation, and analysis of software relevant problems, and evaluation, coordination, implementation, and delivery of changes. The work will be performed at Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash. (25%) and Westinghouse Electric Corp., Baltimore, Maryland (75%). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-95/C-0041, P00018).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $7,000,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for line replaceable units (LRU) and radio closures applicable to the Have Quick radio system necessary to permit test and certification of the two and four radio configuration in the Boeing 767 airframe Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-94/C-0004, P00048).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $9,000,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for development of software modifications to the Global Positioning System (GPS) Operational Control Segment to permit it to communicate with the GPS Block IIF satellite. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96/C-0025, P00025).

NAVY

Electric Boat Corp. Groton, Conn., is being awarded an $80,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee letter contract for 60,000 man-hours of engineering technical support services and program support for the acquisition, manufacture, testing and delivery of one New Attack Submarine Production Main Propulsion Unit (MPU) and Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) to support the future acquisition of an additional MPU and one Ship Service Turbine Generator (SSTG). Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif. (90%), and Groton, Conn. (10%), and is expected to be completed by February 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-4039).

  • Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $24,000,000 unpriced, dollar limitation order for repair/refurbishment of Aircraft TW-3 for the Taiwanese Air Force under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Fla., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Morrison Knudsen Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, is being awarded a $4,035,143 modification to previously awarded contract N62467-93-D-1106 for environmental remedial action for the Ground Water Treatment Facility at Naval Industrial Reserve Ordnance Plant Fridley, Minn. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed 300,000,000. Work will be performed in Fridley, Minn., and is expected to be completed in September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.
