DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

The Wornick Company**, McAllen, Texas, is being awarded a minimum $5,798,329 firm-fixed-price contract for cold weather rations. Nineteen proposals were solicited and three were received. Work is expected to be completed Dec. 11, 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-98-D-Z102).

American Apparel, Inc., Selma, Ala., is being awarded a $22,108,243 firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract for enhanced hot weather woodland camouflage coats. Forty-six proposals were solicited and two were received. Work will be performed in Ft. Deposit, Ala., and is expected to be completed May 1999. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-95-D- 0353).

Booz, Allen & Hamilton, McLean, Va., is being awarded a $112,136,883 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for establishment and operation of the DoD Crew System Ergonomics/Human System Technology Analysis Center. Fifty-seven proposals were solicited and six were received. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 30, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SPO700-98-D-4001).

Strategic Procurement Services, Inc., Fairfield, N.J., is being awarded a maximum $24,000,000 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for maintenance, repair and operations supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Seventy-nine proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 12, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Industrial Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO500-98-D- 0006).

Graybar Electric Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a maximum $20,000,000 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for maintenance, repair and operations supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Seventy-nine proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 12, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Industrial Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO500-98-D-0007).

ARMY

Bill Harbert Construction Co., Birmingham, Ala., is being awarded a $27,935,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a 4-story administration building with basement, a 400 seat auditorium, a life support activity center, high bay/medium bay laboratory space, and stand alone central energy plant. Also included are parking support roads, hardstands and applicable utilities. Work will be performed at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 102 bids solicited on Aug. 28, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-98-C-0007).

Lockheed Martin Vought Systems, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded $19,750,000 as part of a $39,500,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for long lead items for PATRIOT Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3). Work will be performed in Duluth, Ga. (63%); and Dallas, Texas (37%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 6, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-0062).

NAVY

Analysis & Technology, Inc., North Stonington, Conn., is being awarded a $25,048,317 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering and technical services for Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Combat Support Systems supporting Naval Vessel Combat Systems in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Penn. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (50%), and San Diego, Calif. (50%), and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $248,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 122 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-98-D-0004).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Ocean, Radar and Sensor Systems, Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded an $8,085,382 modification to previously awarded contract M67854-92-C-1069 for AN/TPS-59 Radar modification engineering services and studies for the United States Marine Corps. Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

Electric Boat Corp., A General Dynamics Co., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $6,728,444 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-2100 to add 100,000 manhours of lead yard services for NSSN Class Submarines. Efforts include class design maintenance; data management; and design modification, alterations and enhancements in support of NSSN submarine construction. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed in December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

  • F-404 engine on the F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected
  • to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002) (Order GE37).

D.E.W. Management Services, Inc., Arlington, Wash., is being awarded a $5,835,586 firm-fixed-price contract for food services to be provided at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla., and the Navy Technical Training Center Corry Station, Pensacola, Fla. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $21,372,803. Work will be performed in Pensacola, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured on a Small/Disadvantaged Business basis with 27 proposals solicited and 14 offers received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment, Philadelphia, Penn., is the contracting activity (N00140-98-C-K151).
