ARMY

United Defense LP, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded an $18,452,642 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for incorporation of 29 Multiple Launch Rocket System M993 Carriers for the Republic of Korea. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (79%); Aiken, S.C. (16%); and San Jose, Calif. (5%), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 30, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-96-C-X069).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Granite Construction Co., Watsonville, Calif., is being awarded a $5,000 delivery order amount as part of a $10,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for various emergency levee repairs, Sacramento and San Joaquin River Basins, south of Interstate 80. Work is expected to be completed by June 1, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were four bids solicited on Dec. 8, 1997, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACW05-98-D-0015).

Nordic Industries Inc., Marysville, Calif., is being awarded a $5,000 delivery order amount as part of a $10,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for emergency levee repair; to provide a rapid and preventive response to potential levee breaks due to winter storms. Task orders will be issued as needed to respond to flood emergencies. Work will be performed in various locations in the Sacramento River Basin, Calif., for areas north of Interstate 80, and is expected to be completed by June 1, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were six bids solicited on Nov. 17, 1997, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACW05-98-D-0014).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Ft. Worth, Texas., was awarded on Dec. 12, 1997, a $33,033,579 indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for 961 (estimated quantity) towed decoy pylons applicable to the AN/ALE-50(V)2 countermeasures system on the F-16 aircraft. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began February 1997; negotiations were completed November 1997. At this time, $4,678,324 of the contract funds have been obligated. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-95/C-2007, P00012).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Tennessee Wholesale Drug Co., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $11,461,000 firm-fixed-price modified-requirements contract for pharmaceuticals under the Fleet Prime Vendor program. Two hundred forty-seven proposals were solicited and four were received. Work will be performed Baltimore, Md.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Tampa, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 18, 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200- 97-D-7020).

Tennessee Apparel Corp.*, Tullahoma, Tenn., is being awarded a $14,360,677 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for parkas. One hundred thirty-nine proposals were solicited and two were received. Work will be performed in Tullahoma, Tenn.; Huntsville, Tenn.; and Whitewell, Tenn.; and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-96-D- 4002/0007).
