ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems Division, Muskegon, Mich., is being awarded $7,463,606, as part of an estimated $34,170,728 five year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity firm-fixed-price contract for 3,929 diesel engine cylinder heads. Work will be performed in Muskegon, Mich., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Sept. 15, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-98-D-T015).

Alaska Cargo Transport Inc., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a cumulative total of $5,471,519, to provide intermodal and ocean transportation between the continental United States and outside of the continental United States, in support of the Department of Defense and military shipper service continuous resupply to and from Puerto Rico and Alaska. Work will be performed in Seattle, Wash., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Crowley American Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a cumulative total of $5,000,000, to provide intermodal and ocean transportation between the continental United States and outside of the continental United States, in support of the Department of Defense and military shipper service continuous resupply to and from Puerto Rico and Alaska. Work will be performed in Edison, N.J., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Work will be performed in Charlotte, N.C., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Frontier Applied Sciences Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded $450,000 as part of an $88,291,398 (total if all options are fully exercised) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity with fixed-priced (prenegotiated loaded hourly labor rates) and reimbursable line items. The contractor is to provide nonpersonal information technology services with emphasis upon software engineering and associated technical services required for the integration of commercial-off-the-shelf products into interoperable heterogeneous information systems in support of the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command mission, and its supported customers. The period of performance consists of a 30 day phase-in period, base period (7 months) plus four one-year option periods. Work will be performed inside and outside of the continental United States and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $450,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the electronic bulletin board on Aug. 8, 1997, and 13 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Huachuca, Ariz. (DAAB07-98-D-0004).

Fordice Construction Co.*, Vicksburg, Miss., is being awarded a $6,933,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the manufacture of 150,000 articulated concrete mattresses. Work will be performed in St. Francisville**, La., and is expected to be completed by July 15, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. AIR FORCE

General Electric Co., Cincinnati, Ohio., is being awarded a $7,225,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 68 Combustion Cases applicable to the F101 engine on the B-1B aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-97/G-0002, P0069-02).

NAVY

Seema, Inc., Hampton, Va., is being awarded a $6,274,103 firm-fixed-price contract for an Aviation Maintenance Training Facility at the Marine Corps Air Station, New River, N.C. Work will be performed in New River, N.C., and is expected to be completed by September

Reliable Mechanical Inc., Louisville, Ky., is being awarded a $5,184,696 firm-fixed-price contract for adaptive reuse of an existing instructional classroom and shop facility as new offices at the Naval Support Activity, Memphis, Tenn. Work will be performed in Memphis, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
